Dynamic Health & Pain Management

In July of 2014 I decided to go for a walk outside. I made the mistake of going barefoot and stepped on a pebble heel first. You wouldn’t think a pebble would do much damage but the pain was excruciating. The pain was not subsiding so I went to see my doctor. He put me in a walking cast and said the pain would subside over time. After three weeks in the boot my pain was not subsiding.

It had only gotten worse. I went back to my doctor and after re-evaluating me he discovered that I had a fractured heel so he put me in a hard cast. I wore it for two weeks only to end up back in the walking cast after it was removed. My pain was still there. I am a waitress by trade and had been out of work going on two months because of the pain. That was a struggle because I wasn’t receiving any kind of disability income.

To make matters worse, I couldn’t do any of the things I normally do in my day-to-day life. My whole summer was spent laying in bed or sitting on my porch. I slowly dipped into a deep state of depression. I didn’t think I was going to be able to walk again. One night my husband and I were watching the television and a commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management came on.

We quickly took down the information and made the phone call. They were able to get me in the very next day. During the evaluation, the doctor showed me that not only did I fracture my heel, but I was also carrying my weight in a way that didn’t allow me to heal. My spine was misaligned and my balance was off. The doctor put together a therapy plan that I started the next day. After only three treatments I was feeling improvement.

After only the fifth treatment I had gone from not being able to walk with a constant level 10 on the pain scale to walking and doing the things I had done before my injury without pain. I no longer use equipment to help me walk and I have my life back. I would recommend anyone with any kind of pain come in to DHPM. You’ll find that the people are great. They are all positive and encouraging. They will also have a therapy that will help get you better and keep you better!
