BACK PAIN

"I met a staff member of Dynamic Health and Pain Management while walking through Uptown during the Taste of Charlotte. I was actually looking for a place to rest as my back was killing me. I learned about how they have helped a number of people in situations similar to mine.

As far back as 2000 my former doctors, private and VA,had been providing physical therapy, pain medications and bi-weekly chiropractic adjustments. These helped but were only temporary and did not help me maintain my sales career. In 2003 I was forced to retire early and due to finances, my treatment became limited to medications. Therefore, I lived in a partial med-induced fog.

That was my life until July of 2014, when I started coming to Dynamic Health and Pain Management. They thoroughly examined my condition be- fore beginning a multi-faceted approach of training and treatment, combining horizontal and vertical traction, electro-stimulation on my back and more. My constant pain began to noticeably diminish after 3 weeks. Recently, at my new part-time job, I completed a five and one half hour shift on my feet while only taking a 15 minute break.

I was able to perform manual labor including lifting, standing and bending— things I hadn’t been able to do in over a decade. I have not had any major flair ups. In addition, the dramatic reduction in pain, without significant medications, has given me back the ability to fully appreciate every day.
Thank you All!"*

“Don’t ignore your pain until it becomes a larger problem.

I am an active person and love to do things outdoors. I also run a non-profit organization that I am very passionate about and it requires me to maintain a high level of energy and mobility. That’s why staying active and fit is important to me and I have always tried to take good care of my body. One day I was doing a stretch that I had done a million times before. I bent down deep into the stretch and got stuck! I couldn’t get back up.

My spine was just frozen in place. Luckily my family was there and called Dynamic Health & Pain Management right away. They were able to get me in that same day to be seen. I found out that I had aggravated an old spinal injury from 20 years ago that had gotten steadily worse until everything just seized up. I knew I should have come in earlier but had been putting it off and now I was paying the price. I couldn’t get out of bed much less do any-thing I needed to do like work, drive, shop or chores around the house.

The doctors put me on a treatment plan that was tailored to my unique condition and I was extremely happy with the results. After just 2 months I went from being totally bedridden back to my normal daily activities. I can get in and out of bed, swim, walk, shop and travel for my work. I am so happy! Whether you have minor nagging pains or major debilitating ones you owe it to yourself to get help. Don’t ignore the pain until it becomes a larger problem. Go to Dynamic Health & Pain Management to see if they can help!"*

“I have always loved being active. I play soccer, wrestle and run just for the fun of it. I go to the gym as much as I can and constantly push myself to compete at a higher level. One day after a hard workout at the gym my back started hurting. I thought it would go away in a few days with a little rest. After days had passed my back was still hurting, so my mom took me to an orthopedic doctor.

He told me I must have pulled a muscle and that I should take a week to rest to let it heal. After a week off from my activities, I went back to soccer practice. By the end of it, my back started hurting again. I was told to rest and took another week off. Sure enough, when I tried to go back to practice the same thing happened. This went on for six weeks, and my mom kept getting the same advice: “KEEP RESTING!”

We were both getting frustrated and decided it was not normal for a 13-year-old in good health to have chronic pain like this. Luckily, my mom was talking to a friend about my problem and he told her about Dynamic Health & Pain Management and we decided to give it a try. After the first consultation, the doctor found a mild form of spina bifida and a curvature in the wrong place in my spine.

The doctor put together a treatment plan that I began right away. The staff was great and got to know me. I love going there, and the results were awesome! After only two weeks, I was feeling better and back to working out and practice. After the third week, I was pain-free and able to participate in full workouts.”*

“One afternoon, I was relaxing at home when an advertisement for Dynamic Health & Pain Management came on the television. Not paying much attention I heard “chronic back pain” and immediately looked up. As the commercial continued, the pain I had was being described and it sparked my curiosity. I was enthused when I saw “no prescription” and “noninvasive, followed by the office number, so I called to make an appointment.

I was living with chronic back pain, and not one health professional was ever able to give me any answers in the past. Over the counter medicines never helped. After five years, I just learned to live with the pain. Recently, the past three weeks were the worst it’s ever been and I knew I couldn’t just deal with it anymore.

Working for Boston Scientific, my job is extremely demanding and busy. I do not have the time to deal with pain. Eventually, I had become afraid to do certain activities for fear of back pain. My wife even noticed a change in my mood due to lack of sleep. I was beginning to get grumpy.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management was so profoundly wonderful by taking all of the negative out of my life, along with the pain. It was unbelievable how quick I noticed a difference. I’ll be the first to admit I was hesitant. The facility was unlike anything I expected and I never thought I’d get relief. It’s like they say, “Never judge a book by its’ cover.”

Everyone was so friendly and kind. The doctors were very informative and made sure to answer all my questions. I am very grateful for the care I have received and no longer live my life in fear of pain. My wife also said that I am even much more pleasant to be around these days. If the therapy didn’t work, I’d still probably visit just to hang out with the staff!”*

“I was searching online one afternoon a few weeks ago for a place that could rid me of my back pain. I had been living with this horrible pain that started from years of being overweight. At my heaviest, I weighed 429 lbs. My doctor told me to lose weight or die.

With time and dedication, I lost well over 150 lbs. However, my back pain didn’t go away. It was constant and really affected my way of life. Doing anything was uncomfortable. Flying in an airplane, traveling, golfing, anything I wanted to do was preceded with a decision of whether to do it or not.

I am director of Security for Starwood Hotels & Resorts. My job requires a lot of attention to detail, accuracy and devotion. There is no time for pain.

I had sought out a massage therapist but relief was temporary. Within a few days, the pain would always come back. One afternoon, I came across Dynamic Health & Pain Management. After reading about the clinic and what they do, I called for help.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management instantly provided me with answers to my pain. Dr. Mazal also brought to my attention other areas that would create problems down the road if I didn’t fix them. He provided me with a treatment plan to fix the problem at the cause, rather than treat the symptoms and provide temporary relief.

Within two weeks of treatment, my pain was 90% gone. The x-rays show a huge difference than before I started care. I no longer have to worry about any activity quality of life has completely come back.*

I couldn’t imagine going back to where I was before treatment. I am so thankful for the doctors and entire staff at DHPM!”

“I had lived my whole life without pain until an event that occurred 19 years ago changed my life. In 1995, I was in a severe car accident when a teenage girl pulled out in front of me. Almost two decades later, I was still struggling with horrible pain in my neck, knee and back.

I have two children at ages six and seven, so being a good dad is my number one priority. They are constantly involving themselves in activities that require so much energy and physical ability. As a result, I would fight through the pain to play with my kids. One of their favorite activities is jumping on a trampoline. After my first attempt trying to jump with them, I immediately went to the ground from aching pain.

In IT Computer Programming at Vanguard, I had to have my office adjusted so I could sit and stand whenever I needed. Sitting in one place for too long made the pain worse. After being seen by numerous doctors and chiropractors, the pain would go away for some time but always come back. I eventually accepted the fact that this was the way it was going to be for the rest of my life. I was never going to permanently get better.

One afternoon, I attended the Men’s Health Fair at my work and spoke with someone from Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM). Based off of my analysis, she knew exactly where my pain was before I had the chance to tell her. I was intrigued when she mentioned the multidisciplinary aspect of Dynamic Health & Pain Management, so I made an appointment.

After my first visit, it was clear that DPHM address an individual’s issue from a whole body perspective. Everyone is evaluated from every aspect to determine the best treatment protocol needed to become pain free. I loved that I found instant relief from adjustments and permanent relief as a result of therapy. Here I am, almost done with treatment, and I am nearly pain free.

I am thankful for everyone at DHPM. My questions were always answered. The doctors are the best in the business, and medical assistants were right there to coach me through each therapy. At the end of the day, I am happy because I am finally able to come home and spend time with my kids without the pain.”*

“Every year my church puts on a Health Fair & 5k race for their congregation. We are a very active community and love to host different activities to maintain good health. After everyone’s finished running, they attend the health fair and meet with different vendors. That’s where I met Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM).

When my wife and I walked up to the Dynamic Health & Pain Management’s booth after the run, I had no clue what to expect. After they did this computer analysis of my spine, I was explained how their office treats the source of the someone’s pain, not just the symptom. The unique concept was interesting and I made an appointment.

I was suffering from sciatic nerve pain that traveled from my low back down through my left leg. I don’t remember exactly how the pain started, but I was a carrier at FedEx for over 14 years. My days consisted of getting in and out of a car, bending, and lifting packages. I had been to Chiropractors for relief in the past, but found

little success. I eventually became tired with no energy to get through the day. Red Bull and Five Hour Energy drinks helped, but didn’t last long enough. Instead of finding the proper care for relief, I remained complacent and pushed through the pain every day.

Honestly, I was shocked after the first visit. DHPM ended up being the friendliest and most thorough medical office I’d ever been to. All of the staff knew my name and said hello. I went through the consultation with the cause of my problem, diagnosis and treatment protocol explained simple enough so anyone would understand.

Now many visits later, my sciatic pain has decreased tremendously and is almost gone. I feel fantastic. My range of motion is back and I am more awake everyday. I no longer need to drink Red Bull to have energy. DHPM gave me my energy back when they fixed my problem and the pain went away. Thank you Dynamic Health!”*

“I was living with low back pain for years. I am a very active person, but my job with MEDIC requires me to sit in a chair most days. After years of getting in and out of an office chair, I developed back pain.

Doctors recommend working out to help ease pain, but it made mine worse. I grew up being an active person and working out, but eventually my workouts became limited. Lunges are my favorite exercise but they became impossible to do. I can even remember not being able to even bend over to tie my shoes.

Seeing my struggles, my boss eventually gave me permission to buy a new chair. I thought the chair was a main contributor and would fix the pain if fixed. To be honest, I never really thought anything was wrong, and back pain was just one of inevitable those things that happened with age. As a daily regimen, Ibuprofen provided enough temporary relief to get through the day.

Patient One afternoon, Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) came to MEDIC to screen anyone suffering from pain. My colleagues and I decided to try it. I didn’t go into much detail about my back pain, but their computer analysis showed the exact areas where I was having pain. She also mentioned headaches as a possible symptom. I have headaches quite often, but never listed them as a symptom. How they know? I had never seen anything like this before and was amazed.

Once I offered the free evaluation, I made an appointment. In as little as two weeks I felt significantly better. My pain rapidly decreased and I began to work out again. My overall stability and posture improved and I never bought a new chair.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management is phenomenal. I am so thankful for them coming to my job. I am so thankful for getting screened, and so thankful for accepting care at DHPM. Even though the therapy was tough at times, it was so worth it to feel the way I do now. One more thing, the back brace they gifted me with for home use is was my favorite and I use it everyday!”*

“I had been suffering from debilitating back pain for years. The pain was severe and seemed to be getting worse every year. At my worst, I was no longer able to do the things I used to take for granted like taking care of my pets, cleaning my house, working in my garden or wearing my favorite pair of high heals. What broke my heart was that I could no longer play with my 5 year old grandson.

I went to a doctor who diagnosed me with degenerative disc disease. I was then sent to a pain clinic that only treated me with injections into my spine and prescribed pain medications. These injections would relieve my pain but it was only temporary. After only a few days I would be right back where I started from unable to do the things I love. The only thing I was left with in my life was going to work, coming home and visiting doctors for injections and more pain pills so I could get through my days at work.

One day I was telling my friend how miserable I was and she told me about how she was very happy with the pain therapy she was receiving at Dynamic Health & Pain Management. I called and setup an appointment and got in to see them right away.

When I went to my consultation, I found that this was not the same as other medical offices that just give you an injection and a prescription and send you out the door. They determined that not only did I have degenerative disc disease but I also was born with an extra vertebra in my spine! This had been overlooked my entire life. Based on this information, the care providers were able to design a therapy plan unique to my condition.

After only 15 visits to the office, I am happy to report that my pain has reduced significantly and there are many days where I have no pain at all. I now am able to do all the things I love to do. I can clean my house, work in my yard and wear my favorite shoes. Most importantly I am able to run, wrestle and play with my grandson!!”*

NECK & SHOULDER PAIN

"Five years ago I started feeling a slight pain in my neck. I thought I may have slept wrong or pinched a nerve somehow and figured it would get better on it’s own in a few days. A few days passed and then a few more and it didn’t go away. The pain was not unbearable (about a 5 on a 1-10 pain scale) so I ignored it and kept going about my daily life. Slowly over time I noticed it getting worse.

It went from being a minor, dull ache to a major annoyance that started to interfere with my life. The pain was now a 10 on the pain scale and I couldn’t even stand for more than 10 minutes at a time and I couldn’t sleep.

I’m a machinist by trade and lift heavy objects all day at my job. The unbearable pain made it almost impossible to do my work. Luckily, I have an understanding boss who tolerated my declining production so I didn’t lose my job or get forced out on disability.

My work-life wasn’t the only thing suffering. As a pastime I love to work on dirt track race cars with my friend. I’ve been doing it for years now and really love it but there was no way I could spend any amount of time bent over a car engine in my current condition.

One day I was telling my brother about my problem and he suggested I call Dynamic Health & Pain Management. He had gone there for severe lower back pain and they were able to get rid of it. I called the next day and scheduled my consultation.

When I went to my appointment the doctor was very thorough. He found a congenital defect in my spine that no other doctor had noticed before. He put together a treatment plan for me and I got started right away.

Within four weeks of starting treatment I started noticing the pain decreasing. Now it is negligible. I am so glad that I took my brothers advice. I have almost no pain at all and I’m back to being able to stand without pain and sleep. I’m doing well at my job and I’m back in the shop working on cars!"*

“I began having migraines 3-4 times a week. I also began experiencing pain in my neck that radiated down my left arm and the pain was constant. I had been to four different Doctors and was prescribed all kinds of medication. I couldn’t lift my arm, and doing everyday things like brushing my hair, putting on makeup and eating was extremely painful.

While at Taste of Charlotte, I decided to stop at Dynamic Health & Pain Management’s (DHPM) booth and participate in the screening. Once they explained how they could help me, I made an appointment to come in for my complimentary consultation.

When I first walked in, I knew that DHPM was different from the other places I had been. Once I began treatment, I could tell the difference. The pain in my neck and shoulder has decreased dramatically and I have only had one migraine since starting treatment.

I am no longer taking pain medication, which is important to me. I was tired of taking a bunch of pills every 3-4 hours. I was also excited because for the first time in a long time I was able to drive a long distance to see my family. I feel better than I have in a while and I know that I will continue to improve as time goes on.”*

“I was living with constant shoulder pain from a pinched nerve and was miserable every day. Not knowing the cause of the problem, I was in denial and I thought the pain would just go away on its own. Nearly six years later, I was still experiencing the pain.

I was an ultrasound technician and a full time mom. My daughter is a total “Glam Girl.” She is young, active and bright for her age. Just starting to learn how to be a lady as she is growing up, made me want to be a major part of this process and not miss a second of her life. I was limited to the things I could do with her, which included no play time or daily activities. Dizzy spells kept me from doing simple tasks like getting her dressed in the morning, and forget playing dress-up! There came a point when I didn’t want to do any cooking or cleaning, only sleep.

My husband observed how much I wanted to have my life back. He knew I wanted to be the wife, mom and person that I always wanted to be. One afternoon, he was searching online and found Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM). After reading through their website, he suggested I call. I was hesitant because I tried chiropractic care and that didn’t give relief, so what else could?

Little did I know, they could help. Dynamic Health & Pain Management saved me. After just a month of treatment, I started to notice a huge difference in my quality of life. I began to work more often and exercising was no longer impossible. Doing laundry, cooking and cleaning became easy to do. Most importantly, I was able to devote my full self to my daughter and be her mom again. She is my little best friend!

I am so thankful to my husband for finding DHPM. The care they provide is a completely unique and therapeutic approach that everyone in pain should try. I was skeptical and lost hope, but I am thankful I called.”*

“Being from India, marriage is very important. I have been married for 22 years. I knew the moment I met my wife, I wanted to marry her. It took her one week to tell me the same. I look up to her, respect her and love her. By nature when she tells me something, I listen.

I had been living with atrocious neck pain for about 16 years. It limited me and affected every personal and social aspect of my life. I highly enjoy soccer and golf, but couldn’t be involved in any physical activity or sports. Working in IT Programming, I constantly sit in front of computers all day and it was impossible to work because of the pain in my neck.

I couldn’t sit still for more than a few minutes before the pain set in. I also couldn’t bend over to get in and out of the car, and forget about sitting in the vehicle for long periods of time! I had sought help from doctors but was told I’d have to live with the pain or subject myself to pain killers. I felt helpless.

One afternoon, my wife saw the television commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management. She took down the number and called to make me an appointment. I trusted her judgment, followed her instinct and came in for my free consultation. When I met with Dr. Mazal, he instantly told me the cause of my neck pain. He also explained the treatment protocol that would relieve it. Everyone was so helpful and made me feel comfortable. I was confident that I was in good hands.

Within a few short weeks, I felt a significant difference. Then, out of nowhere the pain stopped and hasn’t returned. For the first time in 16years, I am pain free. I cannot explain the satisfaction I have with Dynamic Health & Pain Management. I recommend them to anyone and encourage them to reap the benefits like I have. I know what life is like with pain and it’s very different without it. I will be thankful all my life for Dr. Mazal and all the staff at Dynamic Health & Pain Management.”*

“I first heard of Dynamic Health and Pain Management through a health fair at Duke Energy. A large part of my work day is spent monitoring control boards so that doesn’t leave much time for getting up and walking around during the day.

As time passed, I started to develop severe shoulder pain. This made my job extremely difficult because I couldn’t sit still for long periods of time. Any repetitive movement or motion was extremely painful. It felt like a constant burning pain and eventually felt like someone was stabbing me with a knife.

Not only did my shoulder hurt at work, any leisure activities would lead to the pain. I couldn’t rake leaves, run or exercise. I love to bake. Friends and family would ask me to bake desserts for them and that presented a challenge. I couldn’t even roll out cookie dough! Almost any type of movement using my upper body would bring on the pain.

I sought relief from my primary care doctor and was told I pulled muscle. As a result, they gave me pain patches and muscle relaxers and sent me home. This happened multiple times because the pain kept coming back. Eventually, I resorted to Advil.

At the health fair, the staff of Dynamic Health and Pain Management were the first to ever give me a clear insight to the cause of my shoulder pain. After coming in for my free consultation, I was told that I was born with missing vertebrae.

It took me just over a week to start feeling better. Now further along in my treatment, I feel great. It’s much easier to do my job without the pain. When I look down at my feet, I am amazed because I am walking straight! I pay attention to my balance and posture. I have even started to notice the way other people stand and carry themselves. Instead of people watching, I feet watch! I am back to baking and being active like I used to be. It’s amazing getting through an entire day without pain and feeling relaxed.

I am very satisfied with Dynamic Health and Pain Management. Therapy begins as soon as you walk in the door without sitting in a stuffy waiting room. The care is unmatched because it is all integrated. Normally, I would have to go to four different locations to get similar treatment.”*

“In 1992 I suffered a spinal chord injury that left me paralyzed. The Doctors didn’t believe that I would ever walk again. I did physical therapy for one year to learn how to walk, however, I was numb on the left side of my body and weak on my right. I was also experiencing pain in my back and neck.

My wife Wilma had been suffering with debilitating migraines for years. I saw Dr. Cox on Charlotte Today and scheduled an appointment for her. As of today, she has been migraine free for 60 days.

Because of the different treatment measures, my wife encouraged me to give Dynamic Health & Pain Management a try. I knew that it worked for her, but wasn’t sure that they could help me since our issues are so different. After a month, I gave in and scheduled a consultation.

My hope when starting treatment was to strengthen my back so that I could exercise, which would in turn help to strengthen my leg so that I could get rid of the leg brace. Although the leg brace is intended to assist me, it has become a nuisance. I have to wear larger shoes, larger pants, getting in and out of a vehicle is difficult and the list goes on.

I am proud to say that I can go without wearing the leg brace for 6-8 hours each day and I don’t experience as much pain in my back or neck as I did before starting therapy. I am able to exercise regularly and don’t need as many injections to help ease the pain.

I am very excited about the potential outcome. I have been through so much, so I will continue to fight and recover so that I can be the healthiest I can be. I would tell anyone who may have lost hope, to just try. You don’t have to give up and you don’t have to live in pain.”*

“Before I came to Dynamic Health & Pain Management, my life was extremely affected by my pain. I am a very active person and love to take senior field trips, shop and go to church. I was hard to do any of these activities because of the way I felt. Driving was even out of the question. I also had to resort to buying a cane and a walker because I couldn’t support myself on my own anymore. Just as soon as I started treatment with DHPM, I was able to regain being active again.

The care I received before DHPM was too difficult for someone that is 76 years old. It was too strenuous for my body. I was unable to complete half of the exercises because of my pain. I am 76, not 36. DHPM is totally different. Every aspect of me and my condition was taken into consideration and now my pain is going away.

Recently, I just received an award at my church for outstanding leadership, dedication and good attendance. I was able to receive this “Person of the Year” award because DHPM gave me the strength to be devoted to all aspects of my life again. The joyousness I felt was overwhelming so I now refer everyone to Dynamic Health & Pain Management because I have faith in the practice.”*

“I’ve been employed at Snyder-Lance Corporation here in Charlotte, for 34 years. My job requires me to sit and stand for long periods of time while lifting and packing boxes. A few years ago I noticed that I started to have a tingling sensation down my right leg so I went to my primary care doctor who sent me to a Chiropractor in Ballantyne, NC. The Chiropractor ordered an MRI and found that I had a pinched nerve in my lower back. In disbelief, I went about my way.

Recently, a friend of mine was sitting at lunch and had what she thought was an allergic reaction or stroke; come to find out, it was a nerve disease. As a result, her mouth turns to the side and she is now unable to shut her right eye. Hearing this news, I started to think of the tingling I was still experiencing in my leg.

The last thing I wanted was for me to continue to ignore this sensation and have it get worse or something bad happen, like my friend. Later that day, watching television I saw a commercial for Dynamic Health and Pain Management and decided to make an appointment.

This facility is unlike any other. The equipment is unlike anything I’ve seen at previous rehabilitation facilities. I also noted the number of employees on the floor working with patients as well as the doctors actively walking around tending to patients. You can see that they use a team approach to your healthcare needs. Dr. Mazal has been extremely helpful with explaining all my x-rays, my condition, and the therapies that I would be doing to correct my condition.

Since I have started the treatment I’ve noticed a difference already. My body seems looser, not as stiff. I look forward to my continued treatment, and am positive I will see continued improvement. If you are looking for a welcoming, positive environment unlike any other, Dynamic Health and Pain Management is the best place to be.”*

“I noticed the commercial on TV and referred my sister to go for a free consultation. After the success with Mamie, I thought to myself, “Cynthia, give it a try. Don’t continue to be stuck in your rut of pain. What do you have to lose?”

I suffer from arthritis and had been experiencing pain in my knees and lower back for quite some time. In addition to the pain, I could hear my body and neck creek as I moved, creating discomfort. My hobbies include: shopping, going to street festivals and gardening. I found myself being reserved from the things I enjoy most, because of pain. The aches and burning were so tremendous; I couldn’t bend. I recall having to sit in the dirt, just to work in my garden.

I began taking medication for the pain, but slowly found my doses increasing due to immunity. The mediation I was taking can have a direct health effect on the liver if taken to frequently, and I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to continue to increase. If possible, I wanted to reduce the number of pills I take.

I noticed the attention to detail right from the start. The care provided is unmatched. After receiving the care from Dynamic Health & Pain Management, I am limber again! I received instant relief without having any medication. Because of the care, I can now bend freely. I am more flexible now, than I was as a teenager! I couldn’t tell you the last time I was able to bend over and touch my toes. Now I can! Everything was done in one place at DHPM. I was treated at one location by multiple disciplinarians rather than going to multiple offices to get similar treatment.

Not only has DHPM relieved my pain, but also given me a peace of mind. I was mentally suffering because I wasn’t in control of my own body. I couldn’t enjoy my time the way I wanted to. There is a great sense of satisfaction because I know my body is getting better, and I can now devote the time and care to my family.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management is different than anywhere else. Not only are they flexible with the hours open, they care for the patients and what know what it takes to make them better. I am so thankful for Dr. Matz and everyone at DHPM, and honestly believe, no one would be turned away from here when they really need help. Plus, I consider everyone here my family and love the social environment. I have made so many friends through my visits!”*

"I love to go on long walks. I would walk 2 – 3 miles a few times each week. I also love spending time with my friends in the city. One of our favorite activities is to drive down town, park in a garage and walk over to have dinner and then catch a play at the Belk Theater. About 6 years ago, I began experiencing soreness in my left knee. I went to my doctor and found out I have arthritis. The doctor prescribed medicine but the pain only kept getting worse.

After a short while I found it difficult to enjoy my outings with my friends because the pain was unbearable. The stairs in the parking garage may as well have been 2 miles long with the amount of time it took me to get down them. After a while I was unable to go on my long walks altogether. I suffered this way for 5 years. I felt hopeless. One night I woke up with the television on and saw Dynamic Health & Pain Management’s commercial.

I decided I had nothing to lose by going to a free consultation. When I got there I was surprised at how attentive and prompt they were. I could tell that they genuinely cared about my condition and well being. They took me in for the consultation and told me that some of my knee problems were being caused by problems with my lower spine. I had never heard that before but I was willing to try anything.

After my only a few treatments I started feeling better and now that I’m nearing the end of my treatment I feel great. My pain is almost gone and I am now able to walk around town with my friends without pain! I would recommend Dynamic Health & Pain Management to anyone. It really works!"*

“While delivering mail in October 2001, I stepped on an acorn on the ground and twisted my knee outward. Not thinking much of the incident, I continued working. Come to find out, I had a torn meniscus and never knew it. Two years later, the pain was still in my left knee.

Doctors recommended surgery and in 2004, I had arthroscopic surgery on the left knee. Surgery didn’t fix the problem, but made it worse. Walking my route for the Postal Service was impossible. The pain felt like grinding bone on bone and I would come home every day crying from intense pain.

My husband and I are very adventurous. We like to travel and explore. We also are very active and play sports together. Bowling and driving race cars are two of my favorite pastimes. All of the things that I love to do were put on hold because of the pain. It was even impossible for me to get a good night’s rest.

I tried everything to relieve the pain. Cortisone shots, physical therapy, acupuncture, surgery; nothing helped. It only took Dynamic Health & Pain Management a short time to relieve the pain I’ve been suffering from for many years.

The pain eventually became so intense, I contemplated suicide. Then out of nowhere, a miracle happened; I met Dr. Cox. He just so happened to be standing outside when I came up to his mailbox to deliver mail. After talking to him for a few minutes about Dynamic Health & Pain Management, I knew I had found the help I was looking for.

I cannot explain the gratitude and appreciation I have for everyone at Dynamic Health & Pain Management. They are truly a Godsend. I am now pain free and can do whatever I want without a restriction from pain. I am back to being Superwoman again.

Recently, my back when out. I knew exactly where to go: Dynamic Health & Pain Management!!! In one visit, I went from not being able to walk, to 50% improvement! In just one visit! Thank you Dynamic Health & Pain Management!”*

“I decided 4 months ago to get back into the gym and of course when you resolve to accomplish a goal there’s usually something that discourages you from moving forward. When I began working out, the pain started at my knee and radiated to both my ankle and foot. I received cortisone shots, but they only helped for a short time and didn’t address the real issue.

I was very curious to find out how DHPM could help me. When I walked into the office, the staff was in a circle having their morning meeting. That impressed me… this was a medical office with staff that actually talked to one another!

Dr. Mazal reviewed my X-rays with me. I was surprised to find out that my neck and back were out of alignment and my lower extremities were overcompensating and attributing to the pain in my knee and foot.

After the first 2 weeks of treatment I noticed a difference. The pain I experienced when going up and down steps subsided. To date the ankle pain is gone. I am encouraged because my knee pain is not as bad as it was before. I look forward to making continued improvement and accomplishing specific goals when it comes to my health.”*

“I began experiencing migraines in 2005 while I was in college. There were days that I would miss classes because I was unable to get out of the bed. Excedrin stopped working, so I decided to see my Primary Care Physician. I was prescribed migraine medication which made me sick and I felt like I was functioning in what I can only explain as a “fog.” I avoided taking the medication when possible, especially when I felt that the side effects could interfere with work. I had an internship where I was required to climb on roofs and I didn’t want to risk further injury due to the effects of the medication.

I dealt with the pain over the years the best way I could. In addition to the migraines, I was now experiencing neck pain that would radiate down my left shoulder. There were times that I would miss work or have to leave work in the middle of the day due to a migraine. I was introduced to Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) on April 10, 2013 when they participated at a Health Fair that my job sponsored. On their banner I saw the words, “Pain Management” and decided to find out more about who they were and the services they provided. I didn’t want to depend on medication and I didn’t want to live in pain. Something had to be done.

Dr. Whaley thoroughly explained why I was experiencing the migraines and back pain and the type of treatments that DHPM offered. I began treatment right away. I have noticed that my posture has improved, my back “alerts” me when I go back to the old habits of sitting or lying down in an incorrect position. I have also noticed that the way I feel during the day has improved since starting therapy. I am confident that I will get to the stage where I will no longer need to take medication because I won’t have any migraines or neck pain.”*

“My life is filled with constant planning, preparation and time management as an elementary school teacher. Also, newly engaged to the love of my life and planning a wedding for early next year, I don’t have time to deal with pain. Someone in their early 20’s should not experience the pain I endured. In addition to having headaches 3 to 4 times a week, I suffered from horrible tightness and stiff pain in my neck and shoulders.

It all started suddenly years ago when I was in college. I was under a lot of stress and started to get occasional migraines. These random migraines eventually became severe tension headaches that would come every week. If I didn’t have a headache, there would always be a dull aching pain in my head, neck and shoulders.

I couldn’t focus and it became so hard for me to concentrate at work. During the school week, I work on my lesson plans a little each night so I am fully prepared for upcoming weeks. Instead of being productive, I would come home and take a nap. As a result, I’d end up working on lesson plans all weekend just to catch up. My social life didn’t exist. I constantly had to cancel plans with friends because I felt so uncomfortable.

Eventually, I sought out help from a Chiropractor and it worked. However, I had to stop seeing him due to schedule conflicts. Last month, Dynamic Health and Pain Management came to my school during Teacher Appreciation Month and offered my colleagues and I a free consultation to their office. I was in such pain when they screened me, I booked an appointment immediately.

I was having headaches and neck pain because I had lost the entire curve in my neck. It has been just over a month since I started treatment with Dynamic Health and Pain Management and I feel like a whole new person. I have learned so much about what caused my pain and how to keep it from coming back. This was the long-term fix I had been looking for. I am able to be my old self again and focus on what’s most important to me, like my fiancé and my upcoming wedding.”*

“The migraines began 11 years ago and came with a vengeance. I was working for a Maid Service at the time, so I assumed that it was the chemicals that I was inhaling on a day to day basis that was causing the migraines. The pain would begin in my neck and would eventually affect my entire head. The pain was dull, sharp and aching all at the same time. Any movement made the pain worse.

Over time the migraines progressed from 1 to 2 a day, to 15 to 16 migraines per day. I would have relief for 15-30 minutes before another one would begin. In addition to the migraines, numbness in my hands and right arm began about 2 years ago.

I went to see my Primary Care Physician and to several Neurologists. They checked my hormone levels, took MRI’s, suggested that I keep a diary of what I was eating in case there were specific triggers, they prescribed medication and also put me on steroids. Needless to say, nothing was working and they were unable to give me any concrete answers as to why I was having the migraines and numbness. When I tried to explain that it felt like I had lumps in my neck, no one paid attention.

I am the proud mother of 5 young children and I knew that I didn’t want to be in my 40’s with this type of pain. It wouldn’t be fair to them. It got to the point where my kids would know when a migraine was coming. I was desperate to get help and relief from the everyday pain.

My first time out of the house in a very long time was when I attended Festival In the Park. Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) had a booth set up at the event. I decided to get screened, hoping they could provide me with some answers. When the young lady told me that they were able to help other people with migraines, I decided right then and there to come in for the consultation.

Based on my X-rays, Dr. Matz was able to explain the reason why I was having the Migraines and numbness in my hands and arm. I knew I wasn’t imagining things and I was relieved to finally have answers. Dr. Matz explained the treatment protocol and what I could expect.

When I started treatment, my pain level was at a 10. I started noticing difference as soon as I started treatment. I have only had 3 headaches since I started treatment on October 2, 2013 and the pain is just a dull throb and the headaches go away after several minutes.

To go from 15 to 16 migraines per day to only 3 headaches over the span of 23 days is quite simply a miracle. I no longer experience the numbness or pain in my arm. I would recommend DHPM to anyone and everyone. I am confident in their abilities to help others like me.”*

“I have been living with chronic migraines my whole life. As far back as grade school, cluster headaches would hit suddenly without notice and progress into migraines. I would get them at least three times a week and it got worse with age.

Originally from Nebraska, I needed a change in scenery. I packed up my things and moved to New Jersey to work as a Nanny. I love children and as time passed, the family and I grew closer together. After years of working with the children, I was asked to move to North Carolina with the family.

It has been over two years since I moved and I love it here. North Carolina is a wonderful state and Charlotte is great. At first it was a culture shock to be in the South. New Jersey is so fast paced, but Charlotte has so much charm and everyone is extremely friendly. Everything in my life was going great, only problem was the migraines.

The most recent years have been a struggle with work because the migraines continued to get worse. As a nanny, I constantly have to be on point. As the saying goes, “You have to have eyes in the back of your head.” I couldn’t do as many things with the children that I wanted.

Movies, reading, heavy physical activity all became difficult. My social life was affected as well. Since I was new to the area, I wanted to go out and meet people. That was put on hold because of headaches. The nausea, light sensitivity and pain made it so hard to life my life.

Upon being referred to Dynamic Health and Pain Management, I was really skeptical because I had been to see doctors before and they were never able to help relieve me of my headaches. I was given medicine and even took a preventative, nothing worked. No one could ever find the cause.

However, after only 7 treatments at Dynamic Health and Pain Management, I feel like a whole new person. I cannot believe the huge difference in the way I feel. My migraines have decreased to maybe one a week and when I have one, it’s not nearly as severe. If I feel this great now, I can only imagine the results at the end.

I cannot explain the care. It is unmatched. Everyone takes the time to make sure you understand each treatment. They talk to you about your condition and genuinely care about helping you improve. My only regret is not being referred to Dynamic Health and Pain Management sooner.”*

“In 1979 I was in a terrible car accident and suffered from whiplash. I thought the pain would go away on it’s own but I soon realized that was not the case. I began having headaches that eventually turned into migraines. As the years passed my condition got worse. It got to the point where I would wake up with headaches every single day and they would last the whole day.

I found that I couldn’t do the things I had always loved to do. Before the headaches I used to be very active. I would go out and stay out all day long. Now all I did was stay home in bed. I tried going to my doctor and then to a neurologist. All they did was prescribe stronger and stronger medications that didn’t give me much relief.

One day I got a call from my sister telling me to turn on my television. She was watching a Dynamic Health & Pain Management commercial. After watching the commercial I decided to call for a consultation. During my exam the doctors told me my spine in my neck was curved in the wrong direction and that it was the cause of my headaches. I was surprised because I thought my neck injury was healed years ago. I started treatment that day and noticed improvement after only two treatments. Now, a short time later, I am headache free and I’m back to living a healthy, active life again.”*

“I have been suffering from headaches for over 10 years. They would come every month like clock work and were unbearable. I often describe them as being worse than migraines because I couldn’t function.

I work for First Financial as a mortgage funder. I put a lot of time and energy into my job and love it. Naturally when someone misses work from a headache, it must be serious. Just before I saw Dynamic Health and Pain Management on the television, I was out of work for two days from a headache. I never miss work. I couldn’t sleep or eat and was in complete agony.

I have had all kinds of tests and seen many doctors about my headaches, but never found any answers. They would simply feel on my head and prescribe medicine. At one point, I was prescribed 800mg ibuprofen and told to take two at a time. It helped relieve the pain for a short time but eventually stopped working.

When I saw the commercial, I immediately called. After my first visit, Dr. Mazal explained that I get headaches because of the way my spine curves. He assured me that with therapy, the problem could be fixed. At that time, I had a headache for two weeks straight.

Within one week of therapy, the headaches stopped. I am amazed at the way I feel. My problem is being fixed from the source and I am getting better day by day. Thank you Dynamic Health & Pain Management!”*

ARM & HAND PAIN

Mary J.
My story

“I came to Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) at the insistence of my daughter. For a year I had been suffering with excruciating pain and paralysis in my right arm and hand, and occasionally my left hand.

I was often dizzy, clumsy and forgetful and bumped into things constantly. I have a history of fibromyalgia and arthritis and sought the advice of my rheumatologist, a neurologist, orthopedist and chiropractor and none of these experts could agree as to the cause of the pain and paralysis that forced me out of work and onto disability.

I had numerous medical tests – MRIs, CT Scans, Bone Scans, X-rays – and not one doctor could explain why I had this debilitating pain. Instead, I was prescribed numerous medications. Some brought relief for a short time, while others had side effects that made them impossible to take. I was prescribed pain medication that left me unable to operate my feet, let alone heavy machinery and more than that, I did not want a life lived in a constant fog of pain relievers.

I had come to a point in my life where I was reclusive, without hope and trying to come to grips with the fact that I was 50 years old and would have to learn to live the rest of my life with this pain. I thought I had reached a point of no return. The day before my daughter called to tell me that she had made this appointment, I had fallen to my knees and said, “Lord, if this is all that I can expect for the rest of my life, please take me.” Thankfully, God had other plans and He blessed me with a daughter who doesn’t give up and doesn’t let me give up either.

Because my daughter was so worried about me, I agreed to go to the appointment at DHPM. But, in the back of my mind, I felt this was yet another waste of time. I went for the initial consultation and came back the next day for the results. Dr. Mazal sat with me and explained exactly what my problem stemmed from and showed me the x-rays that had been taken the day before.

That was the first time a Doctor sat down with me and explained the cause and effect of my condition. Even more unbelievable was the fact that he told me that I could start treatment that day and begin to get some relief from the pain. I was used to the old Doctor’s office run around—you sign in, you wait. You are called into a room, you wait. You see a nurse, you wait. You see the Doctor for 5 minutes and leave with a handful of prescriptions.

At Dynamic Health & Pain Management, I was taken immediately to my first treatment and within 5 minutes, I was crying tears of joy. For the first time in over a year, I had feeling in my fingertips! It has been 4 weeks since that first visit and I feel like I have a new lease on life. Instead of dreading the rest of my life, I wish there were more of it. I am looking forward to returning to work, feeling useful and living life!”*

"Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 14, I have always been focused on maintaining good health in order to live a long and healthy life. Diabetes is a disease that can have many complications on the human body if not maintained properly. Naturally, I was concerned when numbness and tingling in my arms and hands started to develop.

When the symptoms began, I was extremely concerned. For 28 years, I have been very responsible when it comes to managing my diabetes. Internally, there were a million questions going through my mind. How did this happen? How was I supposed handle this situation? Was I going to be able to do my job? I did windshield and glass replacement at the time of symptom onset, but I couldn’t work if the numbness progressed.

I attended Charlotte’s Festival in the Park. At the event I noticed a sign pertaining to numbness and tingling extremities on a banner for Dynamic Health & Pain Management. When I stopped by their booth, I was given a computer analysis of my spine which noted any areas of concern that could cause certain symptoms for an individual. Numbness and Tingling was mentioned as a possible issue for me, even though I never mentioned having that issue before the analysis.

Impressed with the findings, I took advantage of the free appointment. At this point, the only care I received from any doctor was anti-inflammatory pills that didn’t help. Dynamic Health & Pain Management was different because they told me exactly what was wrong. With a very open and active atmosphere, I have never been to a medical facility like it. It took just a few weeks and the numbness and tingling went away. I feel so much better and my body remains more stable with less blood sugar fluctuations. I am thankful for a significant improvement so soon."*

"I heard of Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DPHM) nearly a decade ago. A friend of mine had gone to see Dr. Cox after being in a car accident and found unbelievable relief from her pain. He managed to help her completely. I had always felt fine and didn’t really notice any pain. It wasn’t until I fell off of a chair one afternoon cleaning that unbearable pain set in.

In 2006, I lost the feeling in my left arm. This tingling sensation scared me because I thought doctors were going to give me a death sentence. After weeks of searching and tests, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I previously had tremendous success from DHPM treating my back, they were the first place I thought to call. One I mentioned their facility and the relief, my Neurologist was completely supportive of my choice to visit them.

I immediately noticed a difference. My back pain had gone away and my MS is more manageable because of the care. The treatment provided helps keep my muscles from cramping up and tightening themselves. My balance is completely better than it has ever been. I decided to come in for maintenance once a month because I know that one treatment will help with my stability and keep the pain away.

In January 2014, I lost feeling in my left leg and it made walking difficult. I went from walking long distances to walking with a cane. With my condition, my balance is naturally compromised and the last thing you would want to do is fall. A fall could put you in a wheelchair permanently. Before my leg had a chance to create anymore problems, I went back to DHPM to treat this new case. In as little as a month, I was walking without a cane again! It is miraculous care! I am completely astonished with the improvement I get after one visit. I am going to continue to come to DHPM for the rest of my life."*

“For some time I had been experiencing pain from the tips of my fingers to my shoulders and from my feet to my hips. The pain became more and more debilitating, simple task like walking and driving were becoming harder and harder.

I visited numerous specialists who all seemed to have the same approach, which was not solving the problem. I found myself on the internet searching for alternatives after receiving an article from a friend and I came across Dynamic Health and Pain Management. The deciding factor for me to make the appointment was the fact that there was no charge for the consultation. I was able to meet with a doctor who viewed my case and the nature of my condition with no obligation on my part.

At the initial appointment Dr. Matz was confident that he could give me some relief. He told me things that I hadn’t heard about my condition by any other provider. In the short time I’ve been treated, I’ve already gotten relief from my sciatica. It has been some time since I was able to keep up with my wife on a walk and now I can. Even though I still have a long road ahead, the benefits received have far exceeded anything I have had before.”*

“For some time now, I have been living with rheumatoid arthritis. The pain was manageable for a short while; until I started to experience excruciating pain from my shoulders, down my arms, and to my hands. Not only was this stiffness and pain uncomfortable,it kept me from participating in most activities that I love. Lifting things, shifting gears in a car, were impossible. I also work closely with special needs children, and couldn’t even control myself well enough to assist them.

I was told that the new increase in pain was due to my RA. My Rheumatologist wanted to put me on stronger pain medicine, but I refused. Medication that strong can have long term negative effects on your organs, and I want to live a long life.

Cynthia Simpson is a longtime friend of mine and also a patient of Dynamic Health & Pain Management. After her success and her sister Mamie, Cynthia suggested I come in for a consultation with a doctor. It was at DHPM, I learned it was more than just my RA contributing to my pain. Three of my vertebrae were compressed on top of one another. This compression was creating the pain in my shoulders, arms, and hands. Dr. Matz put me on a full body treatment plan to relieve the compression to rid me of pain.

This is my 14th visit to DHPM, and the pain I had been experiencing is gone. Not only that, but my RA is even more manageable than it was before I started treatment. Instead of taking medicine for what I thought was just my RA; I’m so thankful I went for a second opinion.

I would’ve continued thinking the cause of my pain was from something entirely different than the actual cause. I am back to being active. I run. I dance. These days, there isn’t much I can’t do.”*

“Taking care of my wife and daughters has always been my number one priority. This was put on hold when I started experiencing numbness and pain in my feet, legs and low back. I was diagnosed with Neuropathy years before, but that was a slow progression of symptoms. Due to unknown pinched nerves, I went from a fully functioning individual, to not being able to walk without a cane.

Every activity I attempted was extremely painful. I had been a mechanical engineer for over 31 years when I had to stop working. Giving up my job was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Here I was in agony from pain and I could no longer do the things I love most in life.

I came in for my free consultation, met with Dr. Matz and decided to give treatment a try. I am appreciative because Dr. Cox and Dr. Matz have looked at my case very closely to ensure I would get the best results.

Each day that passes, I improve more and more. I have feeling and sensation in my feet again. I can even walk some of the day without a cane. I am able to continue with husbandly duties and mow the grass! I’ll admit, I had some hesitations at first, but now I know that it is just going to continue to get better and better from this point.

As time went on, I felt worse and slipped into depression. I remember staying in bed for days at a time from lack of motivation. I often questioned my purpose and worth in this life. My drop foot was getting worse; I wasn’t sleeping. I sought out a Neurologist, but he didn’t help. I was never asked to have an MRI, just Prescribed medication.

One afternoon while watching television, I saw a commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management. I don’t know what it was, but something told me to call…”*

“I was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy in June of 2012. Two days after my first chemo treatment I began feeling a burning, stinging feeling like a thousand bees in my feet, calves and shins. I found out the pain I felt was called Chemotherapy Neuropathy and is a very common side effect. The pain prevented me from going on long walks and caused my balance to be off. It made work very uncomfortable because I am on my feet most of the time there. It also interrupted my sleep.

I went to my doctors for help, and they used many trials and errors to find the right combination of medications to help. The problem was that they were only masking the problem and not treating the underlying cause so I would have breakthrough episodes of pain.

One day I took my family to the Monroe Air Show and met one of the representatives from Dynamic Health at a booth. He told me about what they do at their office and offered to set up a consultation. I decided to give it a try and set the appointment.

When I got there, the office was very different from what I had experienced before. The hours were convenient with my work hours. The staff was pleasant and very helpful, and the doctors were easily accessible at every visit. I felt like the staff wanted me to be there. The treatments were totally different than any treatment I had been given, and the results speak for themselves.

After 3 to 4 weeks, I was able to sit and read comfortably. I could finally take walks, and my balance was better. I no longer worry about whether or not my legs are going to flare up while I’m out. I can sit still without having to move my feet and legs. I’m sleeping better so I feel better. I have also been able to stop taking all the medications.

I have to admit, when I first started my treatments at Dynamic Health I really didn’t think it would help. I only started because I figured it wouldn’t hurt. Now I have to eat my words because I was totally wrong. The results have been amazing!”*

“One summer afternoon in June 2010, I was driving down I-85 and ran into a horrible traffic jam. Cars were constantly stopping and going. Upon coming to a complete stop, I was rear ended at 35mph by a gentleman texting and driving. I had about half a second to brace myself for impact; just enough time to look in my rearview mirror and see that he was going to hit me. This brief instant was the moment that changed my life forever.

The scariest feeling in the world is lying on the side of the highway, hearing paramedics all around and not being able to move. I suffered from whiplash and a concussion that over time led to severe back and leg pain. When taken to the Emergency Room, ice was applied, pills were swallowed and I was sent home.

Time healed the cuts and scrapes, but the damage to my back had already been done and pain became a part of life for me. Not knowing what to do, I searched for someone to help me. I had been to chiropractors, orthopedists and medical doctors. All anyone ever did was give me an injection and tell me I needed surgery. I was in agony constantly.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) first came into my life when they were present at my company’s health fair. I was offered a free consult to come into the office and get checked by their doctors. Due to nothing working in the past, I was skeptical to all medical care but figured I’d at least come and listen to what they had to say.

Since that first visit, the experience with DHPM has been nothing but extraordinary. Dr. Matz was thorough in his explanations as to how I could be helped. I remember him saying, “I know exactly what your condition is and it hasn’t been treated correctly. Therefore, it has led to other problems.” I remember sitting in an exam room asking Dr. Matz if DHPM could keep me out from having surgery. He looked me in the eye and said, “Yes.” That was all I needed to hear and I accepted treatment.

I’ve been treating for 3 months and I feel fantastic. I am walking better, getting more sleep at night and my pain is going away. It’s the simple things we take for granted like walking the dog, carrying groceries, walking up stairs. DHPM has restored my life.”*

"I have been repairing furniture for 15 years. The hard manual labor started taking a toll a few weeks ago when I started feeling a pain on my left side running from my hip down my leg and into my foot. It got to the point where I had to keep my leg moving all day to keep the pain from becoming unbearable and preventing me from working. I also couldn’t find a position in my bed that didn’t cause pain and was forced to use the recliner. It got to the point where I had to have my daughter drive me where I needed to go and help me lift things.

I had tried my doctor who prescribed heavy narcotic pain medication two times daily. He also sent me to a neurosurgeon who recommended steroid shots and surgery. I knew that this treatment would not help me so I decided to look for an alternative. I called a holistic doctor who specialized in acupuncture and told him about my symptoms. He realized that he could not provide adequate treatment for my condition so he recommended Dynamic Health and Pain Management (DHPM).

I was very pleased to find that the staff at DHPM truly seemed to care about my condition and well-being. They went out of their way to give me the attention I needed to get better. The therapies were unlike any I’ve experienced before and did not involve drugs or surgery. They used a combination of all-natural injections (not steroids) and rehabilitative therapies to relieve my pain and strengthen and rehabilitate my problem areas.

After only 3 weeks I have been able to come off the pain medications, sleep in my own bed, drive myself and work my business pain free! I would recommend Dynamic Health & Pain Management to anyone who is in pain!"*

"I love sports. I love being active. Hobbies I most enjoy include tennis, running and football with friends. Tennis is my passion. I competed in tournaments for the past few years that eventually led to a ranking status. I am proud because I have managed to do so well for myself in such a short period of time. However, it hasn’t been easy. There have been some setbacks.

While playing tennis, I can recall stepping on a ball and hurting my ankle. Eight weeks before this incident, I had a hernia on my left side causing me to focus my body weight on my right side to overcompensate. As a result; I suffered from Achilles tendon pain in my right ankle and foot. Both injuries seriously interfered with my game forcing me to stay away from the big tournaments.

One afternoon I was practicing at Old Providence with my coach when Dr. Cox approached us. Dr. Cox and I train with the same tennis coach and he noticed my ankle brace as he said hello. That eventually led into a conversation about my injuries and how Dynamic Health and Pain Management could help with all of them.

Referred by Dr. Cox, I went to Dynamic Health and Pain Management for my consultation. I started the treatment recommended by Dr. Matz shortly after my first visit. Quickly, my ankle started to improve and I began to practice tennis more. Well, thinking I was 100% better, I injured my shoulder. Just as soon as my ankle pain was almost gone, I started treatment for my shoulder.

It has been a few months since I started treatment and I am back in the game. I am competing in tournaments again while working to improve my rankings. I am glad I ran into Dr. Cox that day in March. He was extremely helpful in helping me understand my condition and so was the entire staff at Dynamic Health and Pain Management. Everyone was really considerate of my injury and all elements that could be leading to it. Thank you Dynamic Health and Pain Management for getting me back in the game faster and better than anyone else was ever able to."*

“I own a commercial cleaning business and Dynamic Health & Pain Management is one of my corporate accounts. When I arrived early one afternoon, the office manager noticed my struggle at walking from knee pain. He suggested I go through a new patient exam to find out the cause and see if they could help.

My history with knee and ankle pain started in 2011 when I sprained my ankle playing basketball. It was a pretty severe sprain that forced me to be in bed rest and walk with crutches for several weeks. The pain remained even after the sprain healed and I found myself constantly getting reinjured.

I am the happiest when I play basketball. I can’t describe the feeling I get while out on the court playing the game. This happiness was ruined when pain started to radiate from my knees into my feet. I couldn’t even get through a full game without feeling some type of stiffness or stabbing pain. The symptoms were always worse in the morning or during heavy activity. My job requires heavy manual labor that started to become impossible as my symptoms continued to get worse. Anytime I was active from playing basketball or working, I would be in pain.I had been to the doctor and also tried physical therapy that provided temporary relief.

Dr. Matz explained my condition and answered any questions better than anywhere else. Come to find out, one of my hips slightly was higher than the other. This contributed to me constantly rolling my ankles during physical activity and would cause the knee pain. Since I was always active and not treating my condition, the symptoms continued to get worse.Shortly after I started treatment, the pain went away. I even noticed a difference my basketball skills.

I am swifter on the court with better accuracy. I loved the treatment. Each exercise was easy and I never felt like I was following a treatment protocol. Also, the entire staff was very helpful and always did a really good job at listening to any of my questions and concerns.”*

"In July of 2014 I decided to go for a walk outside. I made the mistake of going barefoot and stepped on a pebble heel first. You wouldn’t think a pebble would do much damage but the pain was excruciating. The pain was not subsiding so I went to see my doctor. He put me in a walking cast and said the pain would subside over time. After three weeks in the boot my pain was not subsiding.

It had only gotten worse. I went back to my doctor and after re-evaluating me he discovered that I had a fractured heel so he put me in a hard cast. I wore it for two weeks only to end up back in the walking cast after it was removed. My pain was still there. I am a waitress by trade and had been out of work going on two months because of the pain. That was a struggle because I wasn’t receiving any kind of disability income.

To make matters worse, I couldn’t do any of the things I normally do in my day-to-day life. My whole summer was spent laying in bed or sitting on my porch. I slowly dipped into a deep state of depression. I didn’t think I was going to be able to walk again. One night my husband and I were watching the television and a commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management came on.

We quickly took down the information and made the phone call. They were able to get me in the very next day. During the evaluation, the doctor showed me that not only did I fracture my heel, but I was also carrying my weight in a way that didn’t allow me to heal. My spine was misaligned and my balance was off. The doctor put together a therapy plan that I started the next day. After only three treatments I was feeling improvement.

After only the fifth treatment I had gone from not being able to walk with a constant level 10 on the pain scale to walking and doing the things I had done before my injury without pain. I no longer use equipment to help me walk and I have my life back. I would recommend anyone with any kind of pain come in to DHPM. You’ll find that the people are great. They are all positive and encouraging. They will also have a therapy that will help get you better and keep you better!"*

“A friend of mine was in the trucking industry and had gone to see DHPM for his back pain. After their miraculous SRS Therapy, he was cured! The Pain was gone! I told myself, if anything ever happened to me and I found myself in pain, I would give them a call.

Years later, I found myself suffering from Achilles Tendonitis in both feet and horrible back pain. I struggled with this pain for nearly two years thinking it would go away. Finally I gave up on ever feeling better on my own and I decided to get help, and I knew who to call! Dynamic Health & Pain Management!

There are several aspects of my life that I truly love. My American Bulldog is my best friend. There is no better companion in this world like a “man’s best friend.” I felt so depressed because I couldn’t take care of and play with my dog the way I wanted.

Work is also very important to me. After years of working at Kmart, I have developed a deep passion for helping people through my job. The only struggle I find is standing on my feet for nearly 6 hours without a break. Both of these aspects of my life continued to do nothing but bring me pain. I knew I couldn’t live this way any longer.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management has been a savior to my life. I knew there was no sense in going to any other specialist because they would find and fix the problem. I simply just cut out the middleman. I am so lucky to have a friend that referred me to DHPM.

I feel so spoiled when I come in for a visit. Nowadays I am in just for maintenance because my pain is gone. It’s so simple to maintain my health because I am in and out in as little as 30 minutes. If you ask me, 30 minutes is worth a life free from pain!”*

WHOLE BODY PAIN

“My Journey to Dynamic Health & Pain Management actually began back in April of 2009. One afternoon at work, I went to sit down in a chair, when the legs collapsed and I fell to the concrete floor. That moment was the beginning of what had been over a three year battle with pain.

This incident didn’t just feel like a normal fall. Pain started in my shoulder and left hip. Shortly after, I went to see a spine and neurological specialist to see what was wrong. The doctors told me I would eventually be ok and recommended I have physical therapy. They also prescribed pain medication to relieve the discomfort.

As time went on, I completed the therapy and took the medicine as instructed. However, I felt worse. In the beginning, I could deal with the pain, but it eventually became unbearable. Participating in everyday life activities was impossible. Simple tasks like making the bed put a strain on my body.

Laying down one afternoon, the commercial for DHPM came on TV. I instantly thought about my boyfriend and his back pain. I brought my boyfriend in for his free consultation, and was amazed at the facility. It was then that I decided to make an appointment for myself.

During my first consultation, I found out something I never knew about my back. When I fell in 2009, I broke a vertebra in my spine. Out of all the doctors I’d been to, no one ever found the problem. Dynamic Health was the first. Dr. Matz said they were going to find the cause of the pain, and they did.

I was just released from treatment at Dynamic Health & Pain Management today. My pain is almost gone. If you’ve had back pain for a long time, you need to give ample time to allow the treatments to work. I am so thankful for the care I received from the entire staff and doctors.

Everyone knows you by name, and they treat you like a friend. I love the open floor atmosphere and the fact that the doctors are at your beck and call. They are right there by your side, the whole step of the way. Anywhere else, that would never happen. If you’re lucky, you might get ten minutes of the doctor’s attention. Thank you DHPM, for finding my cause of pain, and fixing it.”*

"For years and years I taught philosophy at Baber-Scotia College. I have always been interested in the Mind Body relationship. How the body influences the mind, and how the mind influences the body. Your mind is a big controller of how your body feels. If you think something is wrong with you, the body will start to feel like there’s a problem, regardless of if there is or not.

I first heard of Dynamic Health & Pain Management through a colleague of mine. I have always been highly interested in different ways of treating the body. So, I drove from Salisbury to see Dr. Cox for major pain in my neck. I had never tried a Chiropractor, but several friends of mine had. Based off what they’ve told me, Dr. Cox’s approach to healthcare is so much different.

He really emphasizes the importance of maintaining a healthy spine, and getting to the source of the issue, something I’ve never considered.
I spent most of my time grading essay exams & papers; so naturally over time, I would develop these neck and back issues. Dr. Cox brought me relief almost instantly. I accepted the treatment plan in order to get better. Before I started, the pain was about 8 out of 10. Now, it’s completely gone. After all was said and done, I started my maintenance program, but stopped going after six months due to travel time and traffic.

In August of this year, I fell after waking up in the middle of the night. Not thinking anything of it, I went back to bed. The next morning, I couldn’t move. X-rays showed two tiny fractures on my T8 and T9 vertebras. This was an issue because my wife and I were getting ready to travel to Seattle, WA to see our grandchildren. I only get to see them on major holidays, so this trip was very special to me. The doctor gave me some pain medication and sent me home. The whole time we were on the west coast, I was in severe pain, and slept most of the time.

Upon returning home, I knew exactly where I needed to go, Dynamic Health and Pain Management. Since I resumed treatment, my pain has reduced drastically. I am now finally able to get back to running. It is my ultimate hobby, and not being able to let my feet hit the pavement for that stress relief has really troubled me.

Dynamic Health and Pain Management is different. They help you get better from the inside out. Since my accident, I have made, and will continue to make the trip from Salisbury. It is worth it to get better. It is worth it to maintain your spinal strength."*

"Let me start by saying, I want a lifetime membership to Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM). I would not be as happy as I am right now, if it wasn’t for this medical office.

The first time I had back pain was at 22 years old. My brother and I were doing some mechanical work and went to lift a VW Motor from the floor. It wasn’t until later that I felt the repercussions of my actions. After one week of back pain, any other mechanical activities I did, made my back ache. When I finally got the pain under control several years later, I was in the accident that changed my life.

I was lucky to be alive after a car went through a red light, T-boned me, and totaled my car. After two separate 13 week therapies of rehabilitation, I never fully recovered. I suffered from constant cycles of spasms and low back pain and it got worse over the years. I tried several Chiropractors, Doctors and Specialists; relief was temporary and limited. At my worst, I went through three consecutive weeks of back spasms and knew I couldn’t suffer anymore, something had to be done.

I had seen Dynamic Health & Pain Management’s commercial before, wrote down the information, but never called. I was sitting at home on the couch and saw the commercial again for the second time. Suffering, I wasn’t going to pass up another opportunity to see if I could get help. I was extremely impressed when I called because they were able to see me the same day. Within an hour and a half, I was walking through DHPM’s front doors. After I was greeted by name, the gave me their complete attention. I knew I had back pain before I came to DHPM, but they showed me why. Time was being put into me before I even paid them a dime. That’s real healthcare dedication to patients; you can’t find it anywhere else.

I began treatment immediately and within the first three visits I knew I was onto something. My body started to transition the other way, towards improvement. It didn’t take long for my pain to decrease by half, and even though I am still going through the treatment, I feel like a whole new man. My family and friends have noticed a complete change when I went from frowns to smiles. My quality of life is the best it’s been in over a decade.

I am so grateful for the health services, wonderful staff, and the doctors of Dynamic Health & Pain Management. Their program is completely unique and there is nothing like it. My questions were always answered, each therapy was explained in complete detail and I was never left alone. I am still improving, and it gets better and better each day. I am humbly, gratefully and utterly thankful. I truly am."*

"I first heard of Dynamic Health and Pain Management through a colleague of mine, named Diane. She first heard of the medical office through our company Health Fair for the Post Office. After her success with DHPM, she mentioned the facility to me.

I had been in a really bad bike accident around 30 years ago, and unknowingly dislocated my hip. That afternoon, I went to the doctor complaining of severe leg pain. After multiple leg X-Rays, nothing appeared to be wrong. Two days later, I found myself back in the hospital for surgery to have my hip put back into place.

I was complaining of pain in my leg, so that’s what the doctors looked at. Had they examined my whole body, the problem would’ve been found. Now as a result, one hip sits higher than the other, forcing me to wear special shoes to even out my stance.

From this moment on, my lifestyle was greatly affected. I have always been a very athletic person, but this injury forced physical activity to stop. Eventually, due to lack of movement, my range of motion faltered and my flexibility dwindled. As a result, my right leg got shorter, resulting in severe backaches. It was bad enough not being able to be active, but now I had to deal with pain. The only activity that really helped me was swimming. I was able to improve my range of motion and lessen the pain by being in the water.

Since I have been treating with Dynamic Health & Pain Management, my pain has stopped. On my third visit, I noticed the pain starting to go away. The care here is like no other. Everyone is so positive in providing the best care, every step of the way. I can now say I am able to sleep better, move better, and never feel like I am strained with any activities. I am no longer limited from myself."*

"I have been active all my life. Serving decades in education as a principal, I constantly remained busy. I first heard of Dynamic Health & Pain Management three years ago when I was referred by fellow teacher to Dr. Cox. Last year, Dr. Cox even came to give my staff massages.

Due to an onset of stress, I had suffered from severe back pain. The harsh pain kept me from doing anything and everything. It made me feel exhausted constantly, and I quickly found myself having the toughest time getting out of bed in the morning. I even remember hobbling into work bent over every day.

The point at which I knew I needed help was when I actually had to lift up my legs with my hands to get in the car. I had to seriously over think every move I was going to make with my body. There were times, I’d drop something on the floor, and just leave it there. It physically hurt too much to bend over and pick it up.

I had been to an Orthopedist, Chiropractor and Physical Therapists, nothing was working. I remember visiting the Physical Therapist three times. I saw someone different each time, and on my last visit I was asked, “Ok. What do you want to do today?” Really? Do they not have a plan? Do you even know why I’m here? Let’s just say, that was the last time I ever went back there.

One night, while lying in bed, the TV Commercial for DHPM came on. So, I decided to give it a try. Sitting in the Lobby waiting to begin my free consultation, I saw Dr. Cox! It was so ironic because I didn’t know this was his office!

Instantly, I could see there was something different about this practice compared to other offices I had been to. I met with Dr. Mazal, who instantly took care of me. There was a lot of dialogue exchanged, and I truly believe he understood who I was when I left. I began the exercises/treatments and after my third visit, noticed the pain was going way.

Today, I suffer from no back pain. I thought when I retired from work; I’d have so much free time. However, I am busier now than before because my back is better! I’m busy because I can be! I am thankful for the whole staff at DHPM. It’s a good feeling when you walk into a healthcare facility, and everyone knows you by name. I’m impressed that everyone is so knowledgeable of each treatment and the effect it has on the body. Unlike my other experiences, they have road map protocols so that each person you come in contact with knows what you should be doing. There is a progressive pattern back to good health."*

“I have had Diabetic Neuropathy since 2005. In 2007, I suffered from two severe diabetic comas and lost all feeling from my knees, down to my feet. The pain and numbness kept me from sleeping in my comfortable bed with my husband.

Instead, I would somehow manage to find my way to the recliner; it was the only way I could seem to get any rest. I would even find myself falling and suffering severe injuries because I couldn’t feel my feet. The loss of feeling and pain kept me from participating in most activities that I loved. I couldn’t even go into the yard to play with my grandchildren.

It was recommended for me to undergo physical therapy to take a handle on my pain management. After several attempts and no improvement, the last and final recommendation was steroid injection medicine. It was around this time, I saw the TV Commercial form Dynamic Health & Pain Management.

Within a couple of visits commuting three hours round trip to DHPM, I began to regain feeling in my feet for the first time in six years. It was like magic; the numbness started to disappear. Not only were there improvements with my nerves, family members said that they even noticed a difference in my mood. I find myself smiling these days because I am able to be active again.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management worked wonders. There is an extraordinary group of people there that work miracles. I like to think of the staff as the next best thing to Jesus, because I honestly had no hope of ever getting better. There was never a time when a member of the DHPM team did not bend over backwards for me or my husband. Thanks to DHPM, I have drastically reduced my pain medication, and can now sleep in my own bed.”*

Back Pain Testimonials

I am looking forward to returning to work, feeling useful and living life!”

Don’t ignore your pain until it becomes a larger problem.

Go to Dynamic Health & Pain Management to see if they can help!”

After the third week, I was pain-free and able to participate in full workouts.”

If the therapy didn’t work, I’d still probably visit just to hang out with the staff!”

I no longer have to worry about any activity quality of life has completely come back.

At the end of the day, I am happy because I am finally able to come home and spend time with my kids without the pain.”

Thank you Dynamic Health!”

One more thing, the back brace they gifted me with for home use is was my favorite and I use it everyday!”

Most importantly I am able to run, wrestle and play with my grandson!!”

Neck & Shoulder Pain Testimonials

“Five years ago I started feeling a slight pain in my neck.

I’m doing well at my job and I’m back in the shop working on cars!”

I feel better than I have in a while and I know that I will continue to improve as time goes on.”

I was skeptical and lost hope, but I am thankful I called.”

Mazal and all the staff at Dynamic Health & Pain Management.”

Normally, I would have to go to four different locations to get similar treatment.”

You don’t have to give up and you don’t have to live in pain.”

Knee Pain Testimonials

The joyousness I felt was overwhelming so I now refer everyone to Dynamic Health & Pain Management because I have faith in the practice.”

If you are looking for a welcoming, positive environment unlike any other, Dynamic Health and Pain Management is the best place to be.”

I have made so many friends through my visits!”

“I love to go on long walks.

It really works!”

Thank you Dynamic Health & Pain Management!”

I look forward to making continued improvement and accomplishing specific goals when it comes to my health.”

Headache Testimonials

I am confident that I will get to the stage where I will no longer need to take medication because I won’t have any migraines or neck pain.”

I am able to be my old self again and focus on what’s most important to me, like my fiancé and my upcoming wedding.”

I am confident in their abilities to help others like me.”

My only regret is not being referred to Dynamic Health and Pain Management sooner.”

Now, a short time later, I am headache free and I’m back to living a healthy, active life again.”

Thank you Dynamic Health & Pain Management!”

Arm & Hand Pain Testimonials

I am looking forward to returning to work, feeling useful and living life!”

“Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at age 14, I have always been focused on maintaining good health in order to live a long and healthy life.

I am thankful for a significant improvement so soon.”

“I heard of Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DPHM) nearly a decade ago.

I am going to continue to come to DHPM for the rest of my life.”

Even though I still have a long road ahead, the benefits received have far exceeded anything I have had before.”

I run. I dance. These days, there isn’t much I can’t do.”

Leg & Feet Pain Testimonials

I don’t know what it was, but something told me to call…”

The results have been amazing!”

DHPM has restored my life.”

“I have been repairing furniture for 15 years.

I would recommend Dynamic Health & Pain Management to anyone who is in pain!”

“I love sports.

Thank you Dynamic Health and Pain Management for getting me back in the game faster and better than anyone else was ever able to.”

Also, the entire staff was very helpful and always did a really good job at listening to any of my questions and concerns.”

“In July of 2014 I decided to go for a walk outside.

They will also have a therapy that will help get you better and keep you better!”

If you ask me, 30 minutes is worth a life free from pain!”

Whole Body Pain Testimonials

Thank you DHPM, for finding my cause of pain, and fixing it.”

“For years and years I taught philosophy at Baber-Scotia College.

It is worth it to maintain your spinal strength.”

“Let me start by saying, I want a lifetime membership to Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM).

I truly am.”

“I first heard of Dynamic Health and Pain Management through a colleague of mine, named Diane.

I am no longer limited from myself.”

“I have been active all my life.

There is a progressive pattern back to good health.”

Neuropathic Pain Testimonials

Thanks to DHPM, I have drastically reduced my pain medication, and can now sleep in my own bed.”
