“One summer afternoon in June 2010, I was driving down I-85 and ran into a horrible traffic jam. Cars were constantly stopping and going. Upon coming to a complete stop, I was rear ended at 35mph by a gentleman texting and driving. I had about half a second to brace myself for impact; just enough time to look in my rearview mirror and see that he was going to hit me. This brief instant was the moment that changed my life forever.
The scariest feeling in the world is lying on the side of the highway, hearing paramedics all around and not being able to move. I suffered from whiplash and a concussion that over time led to severe back and leg pain. When taken to the Emergency Room, ice was applied, pills were swallowed and I was sent home.
Time healed the cuts and scrapes, but the damage to my back had already been done and pain became a part of life for me. Not knowing what to do, I searched for someone to help me. I had been to chiropractors, orthopedists and medical doctors. All anyone ever did was give me an injection and tell me I needed surgery. I was in agony constantly.
Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) first came into my life when they were present at my company’s health fair. I was offered a free consult to come into the office and get checked by their doctors. Due to nothing working in the past, I was skeptical to all medical care but figured I’d at least come and listen to what they had to say.
Since that first visit, the experience with DHPM has been nothing but extraordinary. Dr. Matz was thorough in his explanations as to how I could be helped. I remember him saying, “I know exactly what your condition is and it hasn’t been treated correctly. Therefore, it has led to other problems.” I remember sitting in an exam room asking Dr. Matz if DHPM could keep me out from having surgery. He looked me in the eye and said, “Yes.” That was all I needed to hear and I accepted treatment.
I’ve been treating for 3 months and I feel fantastic. I am walking better, getting more sleep at night and my pain is going away. It’s the simple things we take for granted like walking the dog, carrying groceries, walking up stairs. DHPM has restored my life.”
