HAND & WRIST PAIN
Hand & Wrist Pain Treatment in Charlotte, NC
Many people across many careers and walks of life encounter pain in their hands or wrists, often citing that “something just isn’t working right.”
Hand or wrist problems can be caused by a variety of conditions, but often the culprit is carpal tunnel syndrome: a combination of ligament problems, muscle recruitment problems, chronic inflammation, joint or bursa problems and nerve problems. Carpal tunnel syndrome can also be caused by nerve problems, core problems and the overuse of the hand or wrist.
Another cause of hand or wrist pain is arthritis, a disease of the various tissues inside joints. A joint is the point at which two or more bones meet. Arthritis can occur as a result of acute (short term) or chronic (ongoing) inflammation in a joint and its surrounding soft tissues. It can also occur after trauma to the joint (such as a broken finger) or possibly from genetic (heredity) and environmental causes.
Using advanced diagnostics and proven treatment protocols, the medical professionals at Dynamic Health & Pain Management take a multidisciplinary approach to relieving your hand and wrist pain.
“Dynamic Health & Pain Management was different, because they told me exactly what was wrong. With a very open and active atmosphere, I have never been to a medical facility like it. It took just a few weeks and the numbness and tingling went away.”Ben D.

Arm & Hand Pain Testimonials
I was often dizzy, clumsy and forgetful and bumped into things constantly. I have a history of fibromyalgia and arthritis and sought the advice of my rheumatologist, a neurologist, orthopedist and chiropractor and none of these experts could agree as to the cause of the pain and paralysis that forced me out of work and onto disability.
I had numerous medical tests – MRIs, CT Scans, Bone Scans, X-rays – and not one doctor could explain why I had this debilitating pain. Instead, I was prescribed numerous medications. Some brought relief for a short time, while others had side effects that made them impossible to take. I was prescribed pain medication that left me unable to operate my feet, let alone heavy machinery and more than that, I did not want a life lived in a constant fog of pain relievers.
I had come to a point in my life where I was reclusive, without hope and trying to come to grips with the fact that I was 50 years old and would have to learn to live the rest of my life with this pain. I thought I had reached a point of no return. The day before my daughter called to tell me that she had made this appointment, I had fallen to my knees and said, “Lord, if this is all that I can expect for the rest of my life, please take me.” Thankfully, God had other plans and He blessed me with a daughter who doesn’t give up and doesn’t let me give up either.
Because my daughter was so worried about me, I agreed to go to the appointment at DHPM. But, in the back of my mind, I felt this was yet another waste of time. I went for the initial consultation and came back the next day for the results. Dr. Mazal sat with me and explained exactly what my problem stemmed from and showed me the x-rays that had been taken the day before.
That was the first time a Doctor sat down with me and explained the cause and effect of my condition. Even more unbelievable was the fact that he told me that I could start treatment that day and begin to get some relief from the pain. I was used to the old Doctor’s office run around—you sign in, you wait. You are called into a room, you wait. You see a nurse, you wait. You see the Doctor for 5 minutes and leave with a handful of prescriptions.
At Dynamic Health & Pain Management, I was taken immediately to my first treatment and within 5 minutes, I was crying tears of joy. For the first time in over a year, I had feeling in my fingertips! It has been 4 weeks since that first visit and I feel like I have a new lease on life. Instead of dreading the rest of my life, I wish there were more of it. I am looking forward to returning to work, feeling useful and living life!”
When the symptoms began, I was extremely concerned. For 28 years, I have been very responsible when it comes to managing my diabetes. Internally, there were a million questions going through my mind. How did this happen? How was I supposed handle this situation? Was I going to be able to do my job? I did windshield and glass replacement at the time of symptom onset, but I couldn’t work if the numbness progressed.
I attended Charlotte’s Festival in the Park. At the event I noticed a sign pertaining to numbness and tingling extremities on a banner for Dynamic Health & Pain Management. When I stopped by their booth, I was given a computer analysis of my spine which noted any areas of concern that could cause certain symptoms for an individual. Numbness and Tingling was mentioned as a possible issue for me, even though I never mentioned having that issue before the analysis.
Impressed with the findings, I took advantage of the free appointment. At this point, the only care I received from any doctor was anti-inflammatory pills that didn’t help. Dynamic Health & Pain Management was different because they told me exactly what was wrong. With a very open and active atmosphere, I have never been to a medical facility like it. It took just a few weeks and the numbness and tingling went away. I feel so much better and my body remains more stable with less blood sugar fluctuations. I am thankful for a significant improvement so soon.”
In 2006, I lost the feeling in my left arm. This tingling sensation scared me because I thought doctors were going to give me a death sentence. After weeks of searching and tests, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I previously had tremendous success from DHPM treating my back, they were the first place I thought to call. One I mentioned their facility and the relief, my Neurologist was completely supportive of my choice to visit them.
I immediately noticed a difference. My back pain had gone away and my MS is more manageable because of the care. The treatment provided helps keep my muscles from cramping up and tightening themselves. My balance is completely better than it has ever been. I decided to come in for maintenance once a month because I know that one treatment will help with my stability and keep the pain away.
In January 2014, I lost feeling in my left leg and it made walking difficult. I went from walking long distances to walking with a cane. With my condition, my balance is naturally compromised and the last thing you would want to do is fall. A fall could put you in a wheelchair permanently. Before my leg had a chance to create anymore problems, I went back to DHPM to treat this new case. In as little as a month, I was walking without a cane again! It is miraculous care! I am completely astonished with the improvement I get after one visit. I am going to continue to come to DHPM for the rest of my life.”
I visited numerous specialists who all seemed to have the same approach, which was not solving the problem. I found myself on the internet searching for alternatives after receiving an article from a friend and I came across Dynamic Health and Pain Management. The deciding factor for me to make the appointment was the fact that there was no charge for the consultation. I was able to meet with a doctor who viewed my case and the nature of my condition with no obligation on my part.
At the initial appointment Dr. Matz was confident that he could give me some relief. He told me things that I hadn’t heard about my condition by any other provider. In the short time I’ve been treated, I’ve already gotten relief from my sciatica. It has been some time since I was able to keep up with my wife on a walk and now I can. Even though I still have a long road ahead, the benefits received have far exceeded anything I have had before.”
I was told that the new increase in pain was due to my RA. My Rheumatologist wanted to put me on stronger pain medicine, but I refused. Medication that strong can have long term negative effects on your organs, and I want to live a long life.
Cynthia Simpson is a longtime friend of mine and also a patient of Dynamic Health & Pain Management. After her success and her sister Mamie, Cynthia suggested I come in for a consultation with a doctor. It was at DHPM, I learned it was more than just my RA contributing to my pain. Three of my vertebrae were compressed on top of one another. This compression was creating the pain in my shoulders, arms, and hands. Dr. Matz put me on a full body treatment plan to relieve the compression to rid me of pain.
This is my 14th visit to DHPM, and the pain I had been experiencing is gone. Not only that, but my RA is even more manageable than it was before I started treatment. Instead of taking medicine for what I thought was just my RA; I’m so thankful I went for a second opinion.
I would’ve continued thinking the cause of my pain was from something entirely different than the actual cause. I am back to being active. I run. I dance. These days, there isn’t much I can’t do.”
