Leg Pain Treatment Clinic in Charlotte, NC

Leg pain, tingling, numbness and weakness can be due to a pinched nerve frequently caused by a weak disc – very similar to pain caused in the arms. This is a warning sign not to be ignored.

Specific pain in the back of the leg, past the knee, outside the calf and on the front calfs can be caused by piriformis syndrome, weight problems, damage to the sciatic nerve, injury to the gluteus minimus, low back problems, disc problems and core weakness. Sciatica also has many similar causes and is a common diagnosis.

Using advanced diagnostics and proven treatment protocols, the medical professionals at Dynamic Health & Pain Management take a multidisciplinary approach to leg pain relief.

“Taking care of my wife and daughters has always been my number one priority. This was put on hold when I started experiencing numbness and pain in my feet, legs and low back. I was diagnosed with Neuropathy years before, but that was a slow progression of symptoms. Due to unknown pinched nerves, I went from a fully functioning individual, to not being able to walk without a cane.

Every activity I attempted was extremely painful. I had been a mechanical engineer for over 31 years when I had to stop working. Giving up my job was the hardest thing I’ve ever had to do. Here I was in agony from pain and I could no longer do the things I love most in life.

I came in for my free consultation, met with Dr. Matz and decided to give treatment a try. I am appreciative because Dr. Cox and Dr. Matz have looked at my case very closely to ensure I would get the best results.

Each day that passes, I improve more and more. I have feeling and sensation in my feet again. I can even walk some of the day without a cane. I am able to continue with husbandly duties and mow the grass! I’ll admit, I had some hesitations at first, but now I know that it is just going to continue to get better and better from this point.

As time went on, I felt worse and slipped into depression. I remember staying in bed for days at a time from lack of motivation. I often questioned my purpose and worth in this life. My drop foot was getting worse; I wasn’t sleeping. I sought out a Neurologist, but he didn’t help. I was never asked to have an MRI, just Prescribed medication.

One afternoon while watching television, I saw a commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management. I don’t know what it was, but something told me to call…”

“One summer afternoon in June 2010, I was driving down I-85 and ran into a horrible traffic jam. Cars were constantly stopping and going. Upon coming to a complete stop, I was rear ended at 35mph by a gentleman texting and driving. I had about half a second to brace myself for impact; just enough time to look in my rearview mirror and see that he was going to hit me. This brief instant was the moment that changed my life forever.

The scariest feeling in the world is lying on the side of the highway, hearing paramedics all around and not being able to move. I suffered from whiplash and a concussion that over time led to severe back and leg pain. When taken to the Emergency Room, ice was applied, pills were swallowed and I was sent home.

Time healed the cuts and scrapes, but the damage to my back had already been done and pain became a part of life for me. Not knowing what to do, I searched for someone to help me. I had been to chiropractors, orthopedists and medical doctors. All anyone ever did was give me an injection and tell me I needed surgery. I was in agony constantly.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management (DHPM) first came into my life when they were present at my company’s health fair. I was offered a free consult to come into the office and get checked by their doctors. Due to nothing working in the past, I was skeptical to all medical care but figured I’d at least come and listen to what they had to say.

Since that first visit, the experience with DHPM has been nothing but extraordinary. Dr. Matz was thorough in his explanations as to how I could be helped. I remember him saying, “I know exactly what your condition is and it hasn’t been treated correctly. Therefore, it has led to other problems.” I remember sitting in an exam room asking Dr. Matz if DHPM could keep me out from having surgery. He looked me in the eye and said, “Yes.” That was all I needed to hear and I accepted treatment.

I’ve been treating for 3 months and I feel fantastic. I am walking better, getting more sleep at night and my pain is going away. It’s the simple things we take for granted like walking the dog, carrying groceries, walking up stairs. DHPM has restored my life.”

"I have been repairing furniture for 15 years. The hard manual labor started taking a toll a few weeks ago when I started feeling a pain on my left side running from my hip down my leg and into my foot. It got to the point where I had to keep my leg moving all day to keep the pain from becoming unbearable and preventing me from working. I also couldn’t find a position in my bed that didn’t cause pain and was forced to use the recliner. It got to the point where I had to have my daughter drive me where I needed to go and help me lift things.

I had tried my doctor who prescribed heavy narcotic pain medication two times daily. He also sent me to a neurosurgeon who recommended steroid shots and surgery. I knew that this treatment would not help me so I decided to look for an alternative. I called a holistic doctor who specialized in acupuncture and told him about my symptoms. He realized that he could not provide adequate treatment for my condition so he recommended Dynamic Health and Pain Management (DHPM).

I was very pleased to find that the staff at DHPM truly seemed to care about my condition and well-being. They went out of their way to give me the attention I needed to get better. The therapies were unlike any I’ve experienced before and did not involve drugs or surgery. They used a combination of all-natural injections (not steroids) and rehabilitative therapies to relieve my pain and strengthen and rehabilitate my problem areas.

After only 3 weeks I have been able to come off the pain medications, sleep in my own bed, drive myself and work my business pain free! I would recommend Dynamic Health & Pain Management to anyone who is in pain!"

"I love sports. I love being active. Hobbies I most enjoy include tennis, running and football with friends. Tennis is my passion. I competed in tournaments for the past few years that eventually led to a ranking status. I am proud because I have managed to do so well for myself in such a short period of time. However, it hasn’t been easy. There have been some setbacks.

While playing tennis, I can recall stepping on a ball and hurting my ankle. Eight weeks before this incident, I had a hernia on my left side causing me to focus my body weight on my right side to overcompensate. As a result; I suffered from Achilles tendon pain in my right ankle and foot. Both injuries seriously interfered with my game forcing me to stay away from the big tournaments.

One afternoon I was practicing at Old Providence with my coach when Dr. Cox approached us. Dr. Cox and I train with the same tennis coach and he noticed my ankle brace as he said hello. That eventually led into a conversation about my injuries and how Dynamic Health and Pain Management could help with all of them.

Referred by Dr. Cox, I went to Dynamic Health and Pain Management for my consultation. I started the treatment recommended by Dr. Matz shortly after my first visit. Quickly, my ankle started to improve and I began to practice tennis more. Well, thinking I was 100% better, I injured my shoulder. Just as soon as my ankle pain was almost gone, I started treatment for my shoulder.

It has been a few months since I started treatment and I am back in the game. I am competing in tournaments again while working to improve my rankings. I am glad I ran into Dr. Cox that day in March. He was extremely helpful in helping me understand my condition and so was the entire staff at Dynamic Health and Pain Management. Everyone was really considerate of my injury and all elements that could be leading to it. Thank you Dynamic Health and Pain Management for getting me back in the game faster and better than anyone else was ever able to."

“I own a commercial cleaning business and Dynamic Health & Pain Management is one of my corporate accounts. When I arrived early one afternoon, the office manager noticed my struggle at walking from knee pain. He suggested I go through a new patient exam to find out the cause and see if they could help.

My history with knee and ankle pain started in 2011 when I sprained my ankle playing basketball. It was a pretty severe sprain that forced me to be in bed rest and walk with crutches for several weeks. The pain remained even after the sprain healed and I found myself constantly getting reinjured.

I am the happiest when I play basketball. I can’t describe the feeling I get while out on the court playing the game. This happiness was ruined when pain started to radiate from my knees into my feet. I couldn’t even get through a full game without feeling some type of stiffness or stabbing pain. The symptoms were always worse in the morning or during heavy activity. My job requires heavy manual labor that started to become impossible as my symptoms continued to get worse. Anytime I was active from playing basketball or working, I would be in pain.I had been to the doctor and also tried physical therapy that provided temporary relief.

Dr. Matz explained my condition and answered any questions better than anywhere else. Come to find out, one of my hips slightly was higher than the other. This contributed to me constantly rolling my ankles during physical activity and would cause the knee pain. Since I was always active and not treating my condition, the symptoms continued to get worse.Shortly after I started treatment, the pain went away. I even noticed a difference my basketball skills.

I am swifter on the court with better accuracy. I loved the treatment. Each exercise was easy and I never felt like I was following a treatment protocol. Also, the entire staff was very helpful and always did a really good job at listening to any of my questions and concerns.”

“I was diagnosed with cancer and began chemotherapy in June of 2012. Two days after my first chemo treatment I began feeling a burning, stinging feeling like a thousand bees in my feet, calves and shins. I found out the pain I felt was called Chemotherapy Neuropathy and is a very common side effect. The pain prevented me from going on long walks and caused my balance to be off. It made work very uncomfortable because I am on my feet most of the time there. It also interrupted my sleep.

I went to my doctors for help, and they used many trials and errors to find the right combination of medications to help. The problem was that they were only masking the problem and not treating the underlying cause so I would have breakthrough episodes of pain.

One day I took my family to the Monroe Air Show and met one of the representatives from Dynamic Health at a booth. He told me about what they do at their office and offered to set up a consultation. I decided to give it a try and set the appointment.

When I got there, the office was very different from what I had experienced before. The hours were convenient with my work hours. The staff was pleasant and very helpful, and the doctors were easily accessible at every visit. I felt like the staff wanted me to be there. The treatments were totally different than any treatment I had been given, and the results speak for themselves.

After 3 to 4 weeks, I was able to sit and read comfortably. I could finally take walks, and my balance was better. I no longer worry about whether or not my legs are going to flare up while I’m out. I can sit still without having to move my feet and legs. I’m sleeping better so I feel better. I have also been able to stop taking all the medications.

I have to admit, when I first started my treatments at Dynamic Health I really didn’t think it would help. I only started because I figured it wouldn’t hurt. Now I have to eat my words because I was totally wrong. The results have been amazing!”

“In July of 2014 I decided to go for a walk outside. I made the mistake of going barefoot and stepped on a pebble heel first. You wouldn’t think a pebble would do much damage but the pain was excruciating. The pain was not subsiding so I went to see my doctor. He put me in a walking cast and said the pain would subside over time. After three weeks in the boot my pain was not subsiding.

It had only gotten worse. I went back to my doctor and after re-evaluating me he discovered that I had a fractured heel so he put me in a hard cast. I wore it for two weeks only to end up back in the walking cast after it was removed. My pain was still there. I am a waitress by trade and had been out of work going on two months because of the pain. That was a struggle because I wasn’t receiving any kind of disability income.

To make matters worse, I couldn’t do any of the things I normally do in my day-to-day life. My whole summer was spent laying in bed or sitting on my porch. I slowly dipped into a deep state of depression. I didn’t think I was going to be able to walk again. One night my husband and I were watching the television and a commercial for Dynamic Health & Pain Management came on.

We quickly took down the information and made the phone call. They were able to get me in the very next day. During the evaluation, the doctor showed me that not only did I fracture my heel, but I was also carrying my weight in a way that didn’t allow me to heal. My spine was misaligned and my balance was off. The doctor put together a therapy plan that I started the next day. After only three treatments I was feeling improvement.

After only the fifth treatment I had gone from not being able to walk with a constant level 10 on the pain scale to walking and doing the things I had done before my injury without pain. I no longer use equipment to help me walk and I have my life back. I would recommend anyone with any kind of pain come in to DHPM. You’ll find that the people are great. They are all positive and encouraging. They will also have a therapy that will help get you better and keep you better!”

“A friend of mine was in the trucking industry and had gone to see DHPM for his back pain. After their miraculous SRS Therapy, he was cured! The Pain was gone! I told myself, if anything ever happened to me and I found myself in pain, I would give them a call.

Years later, I found myself suffering from Achilles Tendonitis in both feet and horrible back pain. I struggled with this pain for nearly two years thinking it would go away. Finally I gave up on ever feeling better on my own and I decided to get help, and I knew who to call! Dynamic Health & Pain Management!

There are several aspects of my life that I truly love. My American Bulldog is my best friend. There is no better companion in this world like a “man’s best friend.” I felt so depressed because I couldn’t take care of and play with my dog the way I wanted.

Work is also very important to me. After years of working at Kmart, I have developed a deep passion for helping people through my job. The only struggle I find is standing on my feet for nearly 6 hours without a break. Both of these aspects of my life continued to do nothing but bring me pain. I knew I couldn’t live this way any longer.

Dynamic Health & Pain Management has been a savior to my life. I knew there was no sense in going to any other specialist because they would find and fix the problem. I simply just cut out the middleman. I am so lucky to have a friend that referred me to DHPM.

I feel so spoiled when I come in for a visit. Nowadays I am in just for maintenance because my pain is gone. It’s so simple to maintain my health because I am in and out in as little as 30 minutes. If you ask me, 30 minutes is worth a life free from pain!”
